#20…out of 20. But at least Seattle made the list.

In a recent ranking released by Travel + Leisure Seattle was ranked as the #20 city in the nation for burgers. Personally I feel that it was a little bit low considering some of the cities that were placed above Seattle. See the list below:

  1. Providence, RI (There can’t be more than 3 burger places in a city that if you blink you miss it)
  2. Philadelphia, PA
  3. Chicago, IL
  4. Houston, TX
  5. San Juan, PR (WHAT!?!?!?!?)
  6. San Diego, CA
  7. Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN
  8. Kansas City, MO
  9. New York, NY
  10. Los Angeles, CA
  11. Denver, CO
  12. Savannah, GA (Again…WHAT!?!?!?)
  13. Austin, TX
  14. Memphis, TN
  15. Nashville, TN
  16. Las Vegas, NV
  17. New Orleans, LA
  18. San Antonio, TX
  19. Portland, ME (Ummm, really?)
  20. Seattle, WA

Some of these I could easily see being ranked higher than Seattle, as they are much larger and have many more options. I am still skeptical on some of the others. Also, I am kind of disappointed that my former city of Milwaukee, where they held a Food Wars – Burgers, was not on the list. Alas. Here’s to being happy that Seattle made the list, and that it moves up in the future.
