Have a Spooktacular Halloween!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from your friends here at Emerald City Burgers and Brews! We love this time of year when horror films, seasonal beer, ghosts, and goblins are in the air.

In order to help you better enjoy the holiday we want to share with you some of the happenings around the city today and this evening. We’ve compiled a list of some of the more prominent Halloween and beer related activities for your convenience. So without further a-BOO! (yes we went there):

Naked City Halloween Party – Bare branches scratch at an angry sky like skeletal hands reaching up from a grave. Spirits roam the streets. And in the Naked City, we revel in spooky fun. There are no evil spirits in the Naked City*, only great beer and another scary celebration in the “Screaming” Room. This year’s party will feature a free double-feature of horror films, each with its own unique live audio soundtrack. At 7:00pm Power Skeleton will screen It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and then at 8:00pm DJ Nicfit will treat you to the cult classic Dead Alive. And to help us create the ultimate Halloween experience, the folks from AtmosFEARfx will once again transform Naked City into a haunted pub with a slew of bad-ass digital projections. Once upon a time, children went “guising” on All Hallow’s Eve, performing tricks or singing songs in return for rewards. Their costumes made them look cool, but they also protected them from evil spirits. Your costume could do something even better than that: win you a prize in our costume contest!
*Protection from evil spirits not guaranteed.

Brouwer’s – Sons of Huns rock band from Portland, OR will be there. There will be a $7 dollar cover and a costume contest to boot. The band will start around 9:30 and play till about midnight. There will be some great beers on draft from New Belgium Brewing and Gigantic Brewing Company.

Asgard Tavern – Come to the ASGARD TAVERN tap room on Halloween and show off your best friend’s awesome costume! See all the other great doggy ghouls and princesses while you drink BEER with other people who are just as eccentric as you! The show starts at 4pm on Halloween afternoon. Top two doggies get the joy of seeing their owners receive Gift Certificates and ODIN BREWING COMPANY merchandise as well as a doggy treat!

Chucks 85th – Final day of pumpkin takeover. Current taplist includes: Rogue Pumpkin Patch, Dogfish Punkin, Fort George Drunkin Pumpkin, Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin, Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin, Elysian Mr. Yuck, Elysian The Great Gherkin, and Southern Tier Pumpking.

Pinebox – Raise the Dead while raising a Pint! Horror Movies, Ouija Boards, and Drinks in a 1920’s Mortuary. We’re partying all night long.

Bottlehouse Seattle – BOOS + BREWS HALLOWEEN PARTY, BEER GARDEN & LIVE MUSIC: Happy Halloween Week, folks! We’ll have more treats than tricks this Thursday Oct 31st at our Boos & Brews Halloween Party, where you can enjoy a Beer Garden, featuring brews from Pike Brewing Co., Hilliard’s and Tieton Ciderworks. We’re also serving up live music from Creepy Trees and DJ Shane Deegan, plus plenty of seasonal bites. The fun begins around 6:30 p.m. Wear a costume or come as your are – the BH Crew will be in costume, though. Don’t forget tomorrow marks our fourth Halloween party in Madrona!

In West Seattle:

Beveridge Place Pub – ALL DAY & NIGHT! HALLOWEEN PUMPKINFEST! Enjoy an amazing array of pumpkin beers and ciders from around the country, including a great selection from our local experts: Elysian!

The Beer Junction – Thursday, October 31st – Halloween Party!   Wear a costume and enjoy a spooky good time with us at The Beer Junction. We will be featuring a very unique, Halloween-themed randalled beer of our own concoction! There is also a prize for best costume, so bring your A-game!

And if you happen to be on the east side of the water near Redmond:

Black Raven – Head to Black Raven in Redmond on Halloween for the release of their Harbinger Pumpkin Imperial Stout, a special cask and even a costume contest. Good times and good beer await. The special cask will be Scotch Ale with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and spices. Along with the Harbinger Pumpkin stout release, the cask and the costume contest, they will also be doing blind beer tastings and will have lots of FREE candy! Also, Renee “The Weenie Wench” will be there with her Meat Wagon. If you’re on the east side of the water check it out. We’re sure it will be lots of fun!

We’re not sure exactly where we’ll be tonight. Ideally we will be making it to a number of these places. We hope you enjoy you’re evening.

Have a Spooktacular Halloween! And always remember to be safe out there. Taxis and designated drivers are some of the best protection against evil spirits!
