The next to last day of Seattle Beer Week brings you a few more chances to get out and have your fun before we have to say goodbye. Some of the events today will be taking place outside, so luckily it looks like we’re in for a fairly decent day as well; the rain should hold off and it’s fairly temperate out there right now. Anyway, we’ll keep this short since we know you’d rather be out there maximinizing what time you have left enjoying the festivities.
Today’s highlights include:
2nd Annual Hot Dog Festival at Seapine Brewing 12PM:
For $5, you will receive a beer and a giant gourmet hot dog; this might be a better deal than Costco! Fans from last year recall the bountiful toppings stations. They’ve got the basics, but also chili, onions, cream cheese and nacho cheese. Come hungry and thirsty! Pets and children welcome.
Big Naked Washers Tourny at Naked City 1PM:
Big Time Brewing and Naked City Brewing present the First Annual Big Naked Washers Tournament. The game of brewers is meant to be played with a beer in hand, and there’s no better place to imbibe outdoors than the Walrus Beer Garden at Naked City.
Hosted by Drew Cluley from Big Time and Don Webb from Naked City, the Big Naked Washers Tournament invites brewers, beer folk, and all friendly people with a hankering to throw some washers or heckle from the peanut gallery.
All breweries with a team in the tournament will have a special beer on tap in the Walrus Beer Garden. Brews and Breweries to be announced.
Open play and lessons begin at 1pm; tournament play starts at 2pm. Space for 16 teams, two people per team.

Some Like it Hot – Chili Beer Festival at Chuck’s Hop Shop CD – All Day:
Some people might call us crazy… And they might be right, but we’re blazing ahead anyway! Jalapenos, habaneros, serranos, poblanos… You name it, they’ll have it in a beer! And not just beer, either–chilis and apples will be coming together for some refreshingly spicy ciders! How hot can you handle it? This is an event we’ve been waiting for since it was first announced. As huge pepper beer fans, you can be sure we’ll be there for a good part of the day. Stay tuned to their website where they’ll have the taplist ready.
