Holy Mountain Bottle Release

HM BROne of our favorite breweries, Holy Mountain, is set to release three new bottles: Foudre aged The Seer, Barrel aged The Ox, and a very limited number of bottles of Barrel #7.  These will be released in their taproom tomorrow (8/21) which will be opening early (12PM) for the release. Each bottle will be available for $15 apiece.

A little about the beers:

The Seer – A hoppy brett saison. This batch was aged in an oak foudre with brettanomyces for three months and then dry hopped in the foudre with Galaxy and Goldings. The Seer is brewed with wheat and pilsner malt and hopped with a blend of European and Southern Hemisphere hops. The bottles were refermented with brettanomyces and allowed to condition for over two months. 165 cases of The Seer will be available both at the taproom and in limited distribution to local accounts. Limit – 1 case per person

The Ox – Citrus farmhouse ale. This batch was aged in oak barrels for half a year with a house mixed brettanomyces culture. The Ox is brewed with orange zest in the kettle and dry hopped with Cascade. The bottles were refermented with brettanomyces and allowed to condition for over three months. Only 65 cases of The Ox are available. Limit – 6 bottles per person

Barrel #7 – One of the first batches of beer brewed at Holy Mountain last Fall. It was a light blonde wheat beer fermented in a puncheon with lactobacillus and brettanomyces which was then racked onto a mix of stone fruit in a wine barrel and left to age. Barrel #7 is an easy drinking tart wheat beer with strong minerality and a light fruit character. Refermented in the bottle with brettanomyces. Only 18 cases are available, only at the taproom. Limit – 1 bottle per person
