Local Beer and Whiskey Pairing

Pairing #1

Skip Rock Distillery Rye Whiskey – Amber color. Grainy rye flour, pistachio brittle, mango-papaya pie, and chocolate mint cookie aromas and flavors with a silky, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a baklava, dried fruit, and round browns spices nuanced finish. Seriously flavorful and elegantly styled with a pure rye grain character that jumps from the glass.

Rueben’s Brewing Roasted Rye IPA – Citrus and tangerine in the nose, supported by chocolate, roast & caramel, with a full and warming mouthfeel. The best of an India Pale Ale and a winter warmer wrapped into one brew. ABV: 7.0% IBU: 80+

Pairing #2

Oola Distillery Smoked Whiskey – Deep, rich nose with mostly sweet, fruit elements and just a hint of smoke. On first taste smoke is present, but the focus on your palate quickly becomes a delicious sweet and ripe stone fruit (think plum, peach & apricot)—Very smooth and rich with no burn or bite at 90 proof. Smoked whiskey’s lingering finish creates a subtle conversation between peated and sweet smoke.

Geaux Brewing Poyrdas Porter – A robust porter that has a wonderful roast flavor along with dark chocolate and coffee notes complimented with french and american oak staves that soak in each and every keg. The oak adds hints of vanilla to balance the roast making for a delectable, warming porter. Every pour is just a little different as the time on the oak increases. ABV: 6.5% IBU: 29

Pairing #3

Batch 206 Distillery Old Log Cabin Bourbon – A lean, youthful high-malt bourbon, rich oak and smoky black tea front palate. Mid-palate baking spices and candied citrus peels with a hint of honeyed vanilla pudding, transitioning into a dry malty chocolate finish.

Lowercase Brewing Brown Ale – A true Northwest original… combining beer and coffee. Dark beer fans can rejoice with this little bit different brown ale. Our bROWN uses a combination of toasted malts, Northern Brewer hops and cold-brewed Guatemalan coffee to create a truly unique brew. This is not about creating new flavors, but taking existing flavors and turning up the dial! ABV: 5.5% IBU: 30

2Bar Distillery Bourbon – Bourbon is the heart and soul of America. 2bar Bourbon is the first Seattle Bourbon to be 100% handmade from all local grains. The sweet butterscotch and vanilla on the front leads to an amazing honey like finish. 2bar Bourbon is 95% Washington grain and 5% Oregon grain.

Lucky Envelope Brewing Schwarzbier Lager – This dark German-style lager is a refreshing, malty lager with hints of chocolate, coffee, and roast notes – all balanced by a moderate noble hop flavor and aroma. ABV: 5.0% IBU: 27

Pairing #5

Woodinville Distillery Bourbon – This whiskey was entirely handmade in our Woodinville distillery. Aged to maturity in our signature small barrels, the result is a flavorful and balanced bourbon that maintains its character and complexity from start to finish.

Holy Mountain Brewery King’s Head Brown Kentucky bourbon barrel aged – A double brown brewed with a generous portion of oats. Pour a dark mahogany color with a decent tan heads that fades quickly. Big sweet aromas of chocolate, molasses and some coffee. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry finish. ABV: 8.0%
