Recently, Seattle’s Reuben’s Brews hosted Yakima’s Bale Breaker to brew up a special beer for our enjoyment. The result of which – CollaBEERation IPL – is now ready for release and will be available in Reuben’s taproom beginning tomorrow (3/22).
CollaBEERation takes Reuben’s house lager yeast strain, adds a light pilsner malt base, and then piles on plenty of hops. The beer is brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and HBC344 hops then dry hopped multiple times with Citra, Azacca and more Mosaic hops. The end result is “A light crisp lager body, hop-bursted and then intensely dry hopped! Bright hop notes of citrus, passionfruit, and berry sit on top of the crisp lager nose.” The beer checks in at 70IBU and 7% ABV.
The release will be done in two stages. This Tuesday (3/22), Bale Breaker will be at Reuben’s for the Seattle release party, and then Reuben’s will hit the road to Yakima for the release at Bale Breaker on Thursday (3/24).
CollaBEERation will be available on tap and in 22oz bottles at both locations and will also see limited distribution.
