We’re excited to announce that on Saturday April 30th at 12noon we will be releasing two new oak aged and fruited beers in bottles and on draft at the Holy Mountain Taproom.
Empirium is a sour blonde ale that was fermented in oak barrels with a captured wild culture and then aged for 4 months. It was then transferred onto a large amount of fresh plums and aged for an additional 4 months. 750ml bottles of Empirium will be $17 + tax with a 3 bottle per person limit and a single keg will be tapped at 12noon in the Taproom.
Tower of Babel is a high-abv dark farmhouse ale fermented in oak with Montmorency cherries and a mixed brett culture. Clocking in at 9.7% ABV, Tower of Babel was fermented in fresh red wine barrels from our friends and neighbors at Ward Johnson Winery as well as two second use bourbon barrels. The beer was aged for 6 months and then the wine and bourbon barrels were blended at the time of bottling. 750ml bottles of Tower of Babel will be $17 + tax with a 4 bottle per person limit. We have a larger amount of draft available, so we expect Tower of Babel to be available in the Taproom through the course of the weekend.
In addition to these two new releases, we will have a fresh batch of Witchfinder, our Brett Saison, available in 750ml bottles for $13 + tax with a 4 bottle per person limit.
Bottle and draft sales will be separate from approximately 12-3pm. As with our past releases, bottles can be purchased through the alley (West) entrance and anyone purchasing bottles can exit through the Taproom after their purchase. After 3pm, any remaining bottles will be available behind the bar in the Taproom.
