This Friday (7/15), Postdoc Brewing in Redmond will be releasing their latest brett barrel gose – this one featuring blackcurrant. Last week I made my way out to Postdoc and enjoyed the delicious Plum Gose (along with a few other excellent offerings) and I’ll definitely be doing the same for this one. Postdoc only has a limited supply of this beer so make sure to grab some while you can, it’ll go fast!
Information from Postdoc:
You may be missing our Blackberry Going Going Going Gose, but rest easy because we will soon be releasing our next installment of Brett Barrel Gose, this time with black currants. Much like our recent version with plums, we took our base Gose and aged it in neutral oak barrels with Brettanomyces, a wild yeast that makes uniquely beautiful flavors. The beer aged atop black currants, giving it a vibrant color similar to the Blackberry Gose (welcome back Bobby Sunrises!). The fruit also adds a great tart and earthy flavor, as well as a wonderful tannin structure, which integrates wonderfully with the beer. We only have a couple of kegs to rotate into our lineup, so get it before it’s gone!
Postdoc Brewing is conveniently located just outside the east entrance of Marymoor Park at 17625 NE 65th St #100, Redmond, WA 98052.
